Janet M. Smith originally began her career with Burns & Farrey in 1988 and returned as a Director of Litigation within the firm in 2016. Attorney Smith has since become a Director of Litigation in the firm. With over a dozen years of experience, Attorney Smith has successfully defended individuals and companies in significant personal injury litigation and substantial property damage cases.
Attorney Smith's extensive litigation experience includes practicing in the state and federal courts as well as representing clients at trials, hearings and appeals before the Department of Industrial Accidents.
Attorney Smith earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1988 and obtained her B.A. in History in 1985 from St. Mary's College, where she served as President of the Pre-Law Society. She is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts.
