Jay McLarnon serves as a director of the firm's Insurance Litigation & Coverage Group. He has developed a diverse and growing litigation practice that includes client representation in controversies involving insurance coverage disputes, construction defects, product liability, and all aspects of the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, including the defense of insurers in “bad faith” actions. Attorney McLarnon counsels clients on coverage analysis and claims handling practices, assists clients in responding to M.G.L. Chapter 93A Demand Letters, and defends individuals and companies (both insureds and self-insureds) in litigation involving serious personal injury and substantial property damage.
Attorney McLarnon’s broad litigation experience includes practicing in the state and federal courts, representing clients at trials, as well as at hearings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and administrative bodies such as OSHA. In addition, he has drafted appellate briefs and presented arguments to appellate level courts. Attorney McLarnon is admitted in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where he honed his writing and research skills while on the Suffolk University Law Review. He obtained his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.
